My name is Nicolette Ferrante, and I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) practicing under the clinical supervision of Danielle Brown, MS, LPC, NCC, ACS. I am passionate about providing a supportive, nonjudgmental space where individuals feel safe to explore their experiences and overcome challenges.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative and tailored to each client's needs. I incorporate a variety of evidence-based methods including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Trauma-Informed Care, Play Therapy, and Solution-Focused techniques. My goal is not only to relieve distressing symptoms, but to empower clients with practical tools that support long-term growth and healing.
I believe therapy is a partnership. With empathy and genuine care, I strive to help clients clarify their goals, navigate life's obstacles, and cultivate resilience. I approach every therapeutic journey with the belief that everyone has the capacity to heal, grow, and live a meaningful life. Your story matters, and I’m here to listen, support, and walk alongside you.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals ranging in age from 8 to 70. During my graduate studies, I completed a year-long clinical placement at a partial hospitalization outpatient program, offering both individual and group therapy. Since beginning work in private practice, I’ve expanded my experience significantly, particularly in working with children and adolescents, and adults. I’ve supported clients through a wide range of concerns including anxiety, OCD, depression, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I deeply value cultural competence and make it a priority to understand the diverse backgrounds and experiences of the people I serve.
My specialty areas include anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders, trauma, self-esteem and body image concerns, and stress management. I also provide support for LGBTQ+ individuals, including those navigating gender identity and transitioning, and I enjoy working with couples and individuals across all ages and life stages.
Outside of therapy, I love spending time with my two dogs; Bandit, my Shih Tzu, and Denver, my Pomeranian who occasionally makes surprise appearances in virtual sessions! Coffee and the beach are two of my favorite things, and I cherish time with loved ones, whether we’re grabbing a bite to eat or enjoying a cozy night in with a movie. I also value quiet self-care evenings to recharge.
Helping others is truly my passion. I’m committed to creating a warm and welcoming environment where you feel heard, supported, and understood. I’d be honored to be part of your journey and look forward to what we can achieve together!
