I am an enthusiastic, goal-oriented, and caring Licensed Associate Counselor at Empower and Thrive Counseling, under the direct supervision of Danielle Brown, MS, LPC, NCC, ACS. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Centenary University, then continued my education at Monmouth University where I obtained my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During my time at Monmouth University, I focused on studying Ecotherapy and the impact and benefit that nature has on mental health.

I have experience working in both agency and private practice settings and have worked with a wide range of clients from ages 4 to 80 years old. I currently treat adolescents (12 and up), adults, seniors, and families. Much of my training and clinical work has been with individuals and families that struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger-management, body-image, and mood disorders. I am an advocate for meeting the client where they are and using an eclectic approach to therapy. I pull from a variety of scientifically backed theories and techniques to fit my clients’ personal needs - primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered, Solution-Focused, and Internal Family Systems approaches. I am a huge advocate for Ecotherapy and enjoy incorporating nature into my clients’ healing journey.

My goal as a counselor is to provide a safe, relaxing, and authentic environment where clients feel free from judgment. I am a believer in empowering people and helping them take charge of their lives.  I enjoy working collaboratively with my clients and hope to help guide and support them towards their goals. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time outside, going on hikes, being by the water, and having quality time with family. I am an avid dog lover and have a golden retriever puppy named Maverick.
